Goochland Republican Women

GRW has supported GOP County, State and National Republican candidates by raising awareness working on election campaigns, gathering hundreds of new names for the Goochland County Roster of Republicans, managing telephone banks and distributing campaign materials.

The Club has also supported its own member Women Candidates for office, notably Robin Traywick Williams in 2006, a candidate for State Delegate, and Kathy Crockett, who ran for the Goochland Board of Supervisors in 2004 and 2007. This year we have Courtney Hyers who serves on the Planning Commission and ran for the Republican Nomination for Board of Supervisors and Susan Lascolette who is the Republican Candidate for District 1 Board of Supervisors.

Each year GRW adopts a community organization and provides volunteer contributions of time and supplies to groups such as the Goochland Free Clinic & Family Services. In addition, GRW is involved in the Barbara Bush and Mamie Eisenhower Literacy Program, providing books to The Academy and the Goochland Women’s Prison.

GRW members attend and actively participate in local, state and national meetings of the GOP.
